Matt Grimes

It was a season to remember last season for Matt Grimes as he made a number of successful strides in what has been his career so far. After breaking into the Exter first team last season, he backed this up with another stellar six months with Exter, scoring four times from 23 League Two appearances.

His impressive form to start the 2014-15 campaign sparked interested in the midfielder from a number of Premier League clubs, but it was Swansea City who secured the services of the youngster. Exter received a club record fee for the player who has now gone on to captain the England Under-20’s. He has also featured three times for the Swans in the Premier League.

More About Matt Grimes

Matt Grimes arrived at the Liberty as a relatively unknown 20 year-old, want to learn more about the centre midfielder?

The former Exeter man may have made just three appearances for the club, however he does hold some stats, which back up his undoubted talent. During his limited time on the pitch for the Swans, Grimes has the second best pass success rate, making just two unsuccessful passes. He even created one chance for his teammates, which shows how he may have the ability to ply his trade in the top division one day.
