One of Swansea’s latest signings, Frank Tabanou arrives at Swansea City after completing a £3.5 million from Saint Etienne. The 26 year-old arrives at SA1 with a reputation of having a mean left foot, despite maintaining respectable defensive quality.

Tabanou joins the Swans as they embark upon their fifth season in the Premier League. After a record breaking season for the Swans, the left back increases the competition for the left back spot, with Neil Taylor the only respected left back currently fighting for the starting berth, with Dwight Tiendalli and Stephen Kinglsey on the fringes.

The former Toulouse man arrives in England with a reputation for bombarding the wings of Ligue 1, and his attacking quality was shown through his 24 chances created last season for his club. His average pass length was 20 metres long, so he should fit right in at the club where the club’s passing methods have been to keep it short and simple, with the likes of Leon Britton demonstrating such measures in the middle of the park. He made just one defensive error last season, and should provide a calm head at the back for the Welsh outfit last season.
