Jefferson Montero now has one full season under his belt in the Premier League and what an impressive campaign it was for the Ecuadorian. 30 league appearances is no mean feat in this division and it is even more spectacular considering he had to dislodge Nathan Dyer and/or Wayne Routledge in order to get the game time he needed.
After a mightily impressive World Cup in 2014, the Swans picked up the former Villarreal winger for an undisclosed fee. After his switch, he made himself quickly known to the Swans faithful via his direct running play and his lightening quick pace down the flanks. He made 30 league appearances, with half of these being starts, however he would have likely made more had he not sustained injuries throughout the campaign.
