Swansea City make the trip to Southampton this weekend as they get back into Premier League exploits following League Cup action.
And despite an excellent start to the new season, Swansea haven’t tasted victory in three games in all competitions and Garry Monk will want to address that as soon as possible. Before last Saturday’s 0-0 home draw with Everton, the Swans suffered their first and only Premier League defeat of the season, when they beaten 1-0 by Watford at Vicarage Road.
This weekend, Swansea travel to St Mary’s to face a Southampton side who have had a mixed start to their new season. Ronald Koeman’s team currently sit 16th in the Premier League table, having won just one of their opening six league games. However, the Saints put six past MK Dons in midweek to progress into the fourth round of the Capital One Cup.
