A Memorable Night For Swansea’s International Stars

The Swansea City stars are currently on a break from Premier League football as international duty takes centre stage.

nationalIt’s been well documented that after four games of the new campaign, the Swans have been one of the Premier League’s standout clubs thus far.

Garry Monk’s side have drew at Chelsea and Sunderland and have beaten Newcastle United and most recently Manchester United, securing eight points from a possible 12.

However, this week is all about international football and the Swans have plenty of representatives all over the world. Last night, there were Swansea players who stole all the headlines for some superb performances and memorable results.

Swansea defenders Neil Taylor and Ashley Williams played vital roles in Wales’ outstanding win in Cyprus – whilst Gylfi Sigurdsson got the only goal of the game as Iceland shocked the one-time European Champions Holland in Amsterdam – both results all but secured their passages to France next year.

We take a look at the impact that these three Swansea stars had for the counties and what it would mean for Wales and Iceland to qualify for Euro 2016.
