According to HITC, Swansea City have been offered the chance to sign Queens Park Rangers winger Junior Hoilett on a free.
The QPR wide man has fallen out of favour at Loftus Road this season and the Swans have reportedly been offered Hoilett for nothing. The Canadian made his name at Blackburn Rovers with some excellent performances, which subsequently earned him a move to Queens Park Rangers.
However, despite still having a year left on his contract, QPR boss Chris Ramsey is said to be keen to offload the winger for nothing, and Swansea have been put on red alert.
Swansea’s Nathan Dyer has moved to Premier League rivals Leicester City on a season-long loan. Due to the outstanding form of Jefferson Montero and Andre Ayew, and Wayne Routledge seemingly ahead of Dyer in the pecking order, the former Southampton star has decided to make the move away from the Liberty Stadium.
The news of Dyer going to the Foxes could pave the way for a potential move for Junior Hoilett. The 25-year-old is an experienced campaigner in the Premier League – he’s accumulated over 160 Premier League appearances throughout his playing days with Blackburn and QPR respectively.
Other than the Hoilet rumours, Swansea aren’t expected to make any deals today, although it will be very interesting to see if Garry Monk does indeed make a move for the QPR wide man.
