Alex Neil’s Norwich City are the latest club who are reportedly showing interest in Swansea City’s central-defender Jordi Amat.
The Mirror are claiming that Neil is eager to bring in a new centre-back before the window slams shut, and Amat is on their priority list. The Canaries are also reportedly showing interest in one-time Swansea target Vigil van Dijk.
Amat, who arrived at the Liberty Stadium from Espanyol two years ago, is unlikely to get many first-team chances with the Swans due to the outstanding form of defensive duo Federico Fernandez and skipper Ashley Williams. Injury kept the 23-year-old out of a large chunk of last season, also.

It’s still unclear whether Jordi Amat is keen to make a move away from South Wales, however, there have been suggestions that he would like to play regular first-team football elsewhere.
The ex-Spain U21 international signed a one-year contract extension in March, which means he’s contracted to the club until 2018 – whether Norwich will offer the Swans a deal too good to turn down remains to be seen. It will be very interesting to see how Amat’s situation will pan out.
