Former Newcastle United striker Alan Shearer has predicted that Sunderland could be on the end of a cricket score against Swansea City this weekend.
Swansea travel to the Stadium of Light tomorrow in high spirits and in excellent form. Garry Monk’s side have already taken four points from their first two Premier League outings, and they certainly look like one of the best sides in the league at present.
Shearer, who netted 260 Premier League goals throughout his illustrious career, has predicted an easy win for the Swans tomorrow. Speaking on his column for The Sun, the 45-year-old said;
“Having seen the way Jefferson Montero went about leading the destruction of Newcastle at the weekend, and the way Sunderland are defending, I would suggest the Aussies’ total in the fourth Ashes Test could be in danger. Already Sunderland look doomed.”
Swansea undoubtedly head to the North East as strong favourites to secure the three points. Sunderland’s confidence is shot to pieces and the Swans will be fully expected to take full advantage of that.
With the likes of Jefferson Montero, Jonjo Shlevey, Andre Ayew and Bafetimbi Gomis all in such fine form, the footballing world are raving about Swansea at the moment – and according to Shearer, they should be on their way to another three points this Saturday.
