Premier League rivals Swansea City and Watford are ready to battle it out for Paris Saint-Germain striker Jean-Christophe Bahebeck, according to reports.
Garry Monk’s side are still on the lookout for a new striker, and reports suggested that they were showing interest in Sunderland’s Steven Fletcher and Tottenham Hotspur’s Emmanuel Adebayor over the weekend.
And now it seems as though the Swans have turned their attention to PSG’s young French forward. Bahebeck has made 34 Ligue 1 appearances for the French champions since turning pro in 2011. He’s also spent time on loan with Troyes AC and Valenciennes FC respectively.
First-team appearances have been few and far between for the 22-year-old of late. Bahebeck featured just 15 times for PSG last term, with just three of those coming as starts. He did manage to find the net on two occasions.
However, if the Swans want to secure his services they are going to have to battle Premier League new boys Watford and German Bundesliga duo Eintracht Frankfurt and Mainz.
