Dubai-based Club Eyeing Up Surprise Move For Swansea Ace

United Arab Emirates club Al Ahli are reportedly lining up a mega-deal to bring Swansea City striker Bafetimbi Gomis to Dubai, according to the Daily Mail.

gomis-dubaiThe UAE club have reportedly enquired about the availability of Gomis and are set to table a huge offer for the 29-year-old. However, Garry Monk would undoubtedly be extremely reluctant to let his star striker go, and it would have to be a monumental offer for the Swans board to even consider it.

Gomis, who finished last season in fine goalscoring form, also netted the winner in Swansea’s 2-1 win over 1860 Munich in Germany last week.

Big things are expected of the Frenchman this season, after he publically admitted that he wasn’t satisfied with his seven Premier League goals in his first year at the Liberty Stadium.

Al Ahli’s reported interested has certainly come out of the blue, and it will no doubt have the Swansea fans biting their nails at the prospect of him leaving. But, the Swans boss recently said that he’s happy with his squad and he can’t see any players coming in or indeed going out before the start of the new campaign.
