Swansea’s Jonjo Shelvey has been “working hard” this summer to get himself into top shape for the beginning of the new Premier League campaign.
This season, Shelvey is determined to be in the best possible shape for the new campaign – he’s admitted that he finds it a little tougher than his teammates, but he’s taken every measure to be as fit as he can.
Speaking to Swansea’s official site, the England international said; “I’ve been working with a personal trainer all summer in order to get myself fit for the season. I’ve always carried a bit of extra weight compared to other players, but I’ve been working hard on that this summer.”
The former Charlton Athletic and Liverpool man, who was reportedly on Tottenham Hotspur’s radar last month, recently penned a new deal with the club.
The Swans ace is currently in Germany with the rest of the squad as they gear up to take on Borussia Monchengladbach in their first pre-season friendly on Wednesday.
